How many people fit in a sleeping barrel?
A maximum of two adults and up to two children under 12 years old. Otherwise, it gets cramped, and older children might not enjoy sleeping in a barrel with their parents. We recommend booking a second barrel for groups of three or more, and limiting each barrel to a maximum of two adults.

Is there free parking?
Yes, there is free parking, also for buses or trailers.
Do you provide breakfast?
Not insode the sleeping barrels®, but less than 200m away you will find 3 options. but less than 200m away you will find 3 options.
How do I get my keys?
We dont have keys, rather we are using PINcodes which we send to your mobile phone upon checkin. It is important that you provide a valid mobile phone number.
What happens if I arrive after 20h?
No problem, we will send you your PINcode to your cell phone.
Can I bring my dog?
We love dogs but dogs are not allowed in the SleepingBarrels
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
Yes, of course, but please dispose of any leftovers, as we are in nature and don’t want all the local pets joining us for lunch. Cooking and washing clothes/dishes are not possible. Please make a reservation at the adjacent Rahofer Bräu (Tattendorf) in person, by phone at 02253-80870, or via [email address/contact information missing]. email.
Do I need to bring towels or sheets?
No, we supply those, just bring your tooth brush, soap and shower gel.
Is there anybody on site when I arrive?
The Rahofer Bräu is open Wednesday to Friday 17-22:00h, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 h. Otherwise by arrangement.
How does the 24 hours smartlock check-in work?
Using the PIN code on the smart lock: Manually “wake up” the lock until the numbers light up blue, then enter the PIN code and confirm with #. Lock and unlock from the inside using the rotary knob, lock from the outside by pressing the # key for approximately 3 seconds. <2>See the video explanation.
How do I get Wi-Fi access?
If you want to use our WLAN please use “Rahofer Bräu” and then follow the instructions by entering a name and email address. See the video
Where can I find the keys for the bathrooms?
Lichtschalter, Steckdosen und der Schlüssel fürs Badehaus sind in jedem Schlaffass zu finden. Bitte den Schlüssel nach Gebrauch wieder aufhängen. Er sperrt alle 4 weißen Türen des Badehauses. Dort befinden sich Toiletten getrennt für Damen und Herren sowie Duschen und Waschbereiche “unisex”. Bitte diese Bereiche auch so verlassen, wie du sie vorfinden möchtest. Erklärung im Video ansehen
Can I heat/cool my sleeping barrel?
Yes, plug in the heater and operate the on/off switch: Press once: fan on, press again: heater on medium setting, press again: heater on maximum setting, press again: off with a run-on time to cool the heating element (approx. 20 seconds). Use the + and – symbols to set the desired temperature. <2>See the video for an explanation.
Is there a table in the sleeping barrel?
The sleeping barrel has a small ladder for getting into bed, a pull-out table, a luggage rack (which can also be used for additional small guests), coat hooks, and four seat cushions for the bench. The table is pulled out after the ladder has been put away and secured with the chains to the designated hooks on the roof. <2>See video explanation.
How can I check-out?
Checkout is on your departure day, no later than 12:00 PM. After that, the PIN code expires. To lock the barrel, simply press and hold the # key for approximately 3 seconds. <2>See video for explanation.
